In the course of my study and involvement in architecture, I have always been drawn to the unique Japanese aesthetic sense of light and shade which is well explained in "In-Ei-Rai-San", an essay written by Junichiro Tanizaki. Also, the concept of the pursuit of functional beauty as people say "Form follows function” always caught my attention and have remained in my mind since then.
I believe that architecture is also an act of creating the scenery of the people who live there, so-called original scenery of their heart. I hope to proceed with architectural design with the faith that we want to create good architecture and with respect for the city that we work on.
I will strive to work with great care to meet the needs of our clients and to make even better proposals.
Furthermore, I’d be grateful if I could create a connection between architecture and cities through TPOD here in Kyoto.
