I was born in Kyoto to a family of gardeners and have never known a world other than gardens. When I was young, I thought that was something restricting, but now, after nearly 30 years of work as a gardener, I can say with certainty that there is no job as free and fulfilling as this.
Gardens express beauty using plants, stones, water, soil, and other natural materials, creating spaces that bring joy to those who view and use them. It is not just a pleasant place-gardens also allow us to feel the strength and the transience of nature.
In Kyoto, there is a profound depth to garden making that has been cultivated for over 1,200 years. To be able to share this fascinating world of gardens not only in Japan but also with the people of TPOD is the greatest honor a craftsman could ask for.
Born in Kyoto in 1980. First-class landscape technician. Unlike architecture, he was fascinated by garden spaces, which are made up of free lines and living creatures. He entered the world of gardens upon graduating from high school. After training in Kumamoto and returning to Kyoto, he began gardening under his father and mentor, Shoji Inohana, and took over the company INOHANA MUSOUEN in later years.
