I’d like to congratulate the 20th and 15th anniversaries of Marunouchi building and Shin-Marunouchi building of Mitsubishi Estate. We, TPOD, have been taking part in the ANNIVERSARY RENEWAL project of the buildings in several ways. One of the projects, the new logo for the commercial zone of the Marunouchi Building and Shin-Marunouchi Building has been unveiled.
I was the producer myself and Mr. Motoki Koitabashi, Akaoni Co. Ltd. and I worked on the concept makeup. Mr. Koitabashi designed it and Mr. Noriaki Yashima, Yashima Design Office Co. Ltd. was in charge of fitting design.
- Something to be recognized easily by everyone as well as unforgettable
- Humorous and characteristic
- Possessing both factors of tradition and innovation
The new logo was created based on the Japanese form of “丸ビル” and “新丸ビル” which were the nicknames of the buildings. Other projects that TPOD has been involved with will be also released to the public one after another toward next spring. We’re really looking forward to the release too.
A minimal typeface that can correspond to various situations and tenants.
Simple form design that makes it easier for people around the world to recognize Japanese.
The form of “Rounded Corners” which is an architectural feature of the Marunouchi Building is
shown in the logotype.
An image of an active flow line where various people come and go.
